Bison Calf, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming (#WF0009)
The image above of a bison calf was taken from my car with the aid of a window mount. These can be purchased at some camera shops and through mail order houses. They easily attach to the window of your car. At the time, I was stuck in a "bison jam" caused when a large herd of bison decided to walk down the middle of a busy road in Yellowstone National Park. It was shot with a 70-300 mm zoom telephoto lens fully extended to 300 mm, and with Fujichrome 50 film at F/8 and a 1/30th second shutter speed.
