Village of Tyringham, Massachusetts (#BK0019)
The village of Tyringham is nestled in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. The valley floor is mostly agricultural land, while the surrounding ridges are densely forested with beech, yellow and white birch, red and sugar maple, black cherry, white ash, white pine, eastern hemlock and various species of oak. Sadly, wealthy urbanites are starting to build expensive second homes at or near the top of some of these ridges, desecrating the incredible beauty of this valley.
