Northern Terminus of the Pacific Crest Trail, Washington (#PC0027)
Phew, congratulations, you made it! Here is the marker for the northern terminus of the Pacific Crest Trail. The line through the forest demarcates the boundary between the United States and Canada. The northernmost 200-mile segment of the Pacific Crest Trail passes through more than 1.5 million acres of protected wilderness - including the Glacier Peak and Pasayton Wilderness, as well as the North Cascades National Park. It is a land of snow-clad peaks, old growth forests, flower-filled meadows, waterfalls and cascading streams. The country is spectacular! There is a marker just like this one 2700 miles to the south, on the Mexican border!
