Moose and Mt. Katahdin, Baxter State Park, Maine (#AT0029)

An Appalachian Trail thru-hiker coming from the direction of Georgia gets pretty excited at about this point - with a clear view of the tallest mountain in Maine and the northern terminus of the A.T.  He or she has been thinking about this goal for many months of hiking along this incredible 2100 mile-long trail.  We are now in the 200,000-acre Baxter State Park as we approach the final climb of the hike.
