Mouse Ear Falls, Tennessee (#AT0011)
Oops, I've gotten us lost! To see Mouse Ear Falls you would have to leave the Appalachian Trail and "blue blaze it" for a number of miles (or take side trail marked by blue blazes, rather that the white blazes of the A.T.). The falls is in a remote and beautiful part of the park's backcountry, not far from Walnut Basin. There are more than 900 miles of backcountry trails within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
